Campout May 17 -19

Campout May 17 -19

Permission slip attached, forms and Money due Monday, May 13 at troop meeting.

Theme: Summer Sports including bicycling

Mr. Kohl will be guiding those scouts, who bring bikes, on a bike hike on a rail to trail bike path. I am encouraging older scouts to consider the bike hike, if they are able, as bicycling is one of the Eagle required merit badges as well biking is an opportunity to give them a physical challenge.

Scouts are NOT required to go biking on this campout. There will be plenty of other summer sports and scout activities to participate during the weekend beside the bicycling.

If scout is planning on bringing his bike for the bike hike he will need to bring his bike to the troop meeting for inspection, if you have not done so already. We ask if your son has a bike helmet that he bring it on the outing, this is a safe scouting requirement. If your scout is in need of a helmet please let me know.
